Argenta invited to be a guest presenter at UK Aerospace and Defence Forum

Argenta were delighted to be approached by National Instruments earlier this year to be asked to be guest presenters at their UK Aerospace and Defence Forum later this month at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre. The Forum which takes place every two years is an industry conference featuring a full, inspiring day of engaging keynotes, technical presentations, demonstrations and user solutions.

The event is dedicated to managers leading projects in aviation, aerospace and defence industries and provides a great opportunity to learn more about the latest trends and technologies for modern aerospace, defence, security and space systems.

The morning session features two Key Note presentations; the first from Jean-Francois Pouilly of M3 Systems whose focus will be on ‘Modern GNSS technologies – challenges, opportunities and impact on aviation and defence industries’. The second is delivered by David Hall of National Instruments who will be delivering ‘A smarter approach to system design in Aerospace and Defence Applications’. Chris Woodhams (Managing Director at Argenta) commented ‘Although Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) aren’t something we have experience with, we’re looking forward to learning all about them. It will also be interested to see what we might be able to take away and implement from David Hall’s keynote.’

Our Systems Engineers, Dawid Wozny and Alim Khanan will be delivering a presentation in the afternoon session entitled ‘Multi-Platform Test Executive: Combining SCXI, PXI and LabVIEW FPGA’. We acknowledge within the presentation that automated test can be complex, especially when interacting with multiple sub systems across different NI platforms. The presentation is based on experience gained from a completed project that required the use of PXI, SCXI and LabVIEW FPGA together in order to deliver a comprehensive test executive for testing Fuel Metering Units (FMUs). Through the use of good coding practices we were able to simplify the complex environment and deliver an intuitive LabVIEW interface. This benefits that were realised were reduced test time, extended testing capacity and much improved availability of test data.

Dawid and Alim are looking forward to presenting and would be happy to speak with anyone during the event about your own business needs. Alternatively please take a look at the case study linked to our presentation and if we can be of any help please get in touch!
