The New Year is well under way and we would like to bring you news of some recent changes at Argenta and our ongoing support of the Aerospace industry in the Midlands.
Firstly we would like to welcome Tobi James to the Argenta team, he started working with us before Christmas and is settling into his role. He joins us as a Graduate Software Developer following completion of his BA in Chemical Engineering in the summer of 2017 from Aston University. Tobi joins our team of engineers delivering solutions in measurement, control and automation using NI hardware and software platforms.
Argenta are also delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring the Midlands Aerospace Alliance conference once again. It is being held at the Rolls Royce Learning and Development Centre in Derby on 8th March 2018. This will be the third year that Argenta have sponsored the event and as Chris Woodhams, Argenta’s Managing Director identifies “we are looking forward to another great event, somewhat different to last year as it was part of the much larger Aero Engine Forum, but a great opportunity to show our capabilities within the industry”.
The conference has been divided around three key themes;
• Uncertain economic and political times for UK aerospace
• Aerospace market growth: can it really be plain sailing?
• Disruptive technologies with big impacts on the supply chain
A number of keynote speakers have already been confirmed for the event including Simon Kirby, Chief Operating Officer - Rolls-Royce, Andy Moran, Head of Supplier Development UK – Aribus and David Wimpenny, Chief Technologist for Component Manufacturing – the MTC. It will be great to hear from these and other speakers about developments in the aviation supply chain.
If you're planning on attending the MAA conference it would be great to catch up so please get in touch.
